Hi people,

I'm new on this site and new to Maemo as a platform. I got my n900 recently and wanted to install some deb files. I did some research and found that I could install rootsh and use x-terminal to do this as red pill mode was not advised.

I had no success in installing a theme deb file from my-maemo.com using the guide shown on this site for using x-terminal to do this and finally decided I wanted to uninstall rootsh to disable root access and leave installing deb files till later

Unfortunately this wasn't possible with the app manager uninstaller and I have no idea what to do next to uninstall it.

Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get it off?

Thanks

Great site!

You could try (as root in xterm)

dpkg -r rootsh
