I thought feeding the trolls was illegal.

Anyway, allow me to throw some gas on the fire.

a) I bought the hardware, not the software. The device has a Nokia logo on it, not a Symantec and when I compare, I read about connectivity, CPU and screen, not software. If you say IPhone beats N900 in any of those departments (hardware) then there is little point in having a conversation.

b) I do not care what you think of IPhone, I handled it before choosing between HTC and Nokia N900. It has a poor screen, no actual bluetooth, can't use a pen, and for the love of whatever deity you have, I will *NOT* pay a shovel of money to have the maker tell me what I can and can't send or who I can connect with or apps to run. That's like buying a Porsche and having Porsche AG telling me on what roads to drive.

If Apple would have let it have free-working Bluetooth and use a pen, I'd consider the IPhone, though a nice screen is a must for me (thus the considering of HTC)

c) You love the N900, otherwise you wouldn't be here. If I buy a broken toy I don't register on the chinese manufacturer's site in hunag-huang to complain about my dollar fifty. I drop it in the trash. You don't like the device, you drop it and get a nice device and register there to learn more.

I saw the IPhone and I didn't go to Apple.com to vent. Neither did I go to HTC informing them if their failure to get me, because I don't care enough. You obviously do. It's not hard, just admit you love us.

Awww...

Listen, I'm too tired to read all the other comments, and I'm probably repeating something that someone else said, but hey, you registered, you came here, you posted, you've gone this far- I say give the n900 a few more weeks.. It sounds to me like you're an "advanced" Iphone user (you know your sh*t, so to speak), but that's only because you have the iphone for much longer than you have the n900.. You think when the iphone first came out people weren't showing off their symbian apps against the iphone's?
Most people here would kill for an n900.. you've gotten this far, why not try using it for a while.. Download the haze and butterfly plug-ins (Are they called plug-ins?) so that the device would be connected to msn and aim (Not sure if you know, but these are not external apps, it's integrated in the device itself, and that's what makes it so cool.. Receiving an IM is the same as receiving an SMS).
Download DOSbox and play a bit of heroes 2 or a bit of quake 3 if you can find it.
Download Firefox and surf the web for a while.
Listen to some music, and while you do so take 30 minutes in the applications forum and games forum, or just go to the downloads section and the extras section and see what's cooking and what's already download-able (I'm sure you know, but I'll say it anyway- downloading alphas and betas may damage your phone so be careful what you download).

I know I sound like a nokia commercial.. But that's what I would have done..
I understand you're very familiar with your iphone, and I've got nothing bad to say about it, but you shouldn't be close minded..

And if you've already done these things, and you still don't like the phone, then, by all means, sell it if you feel it's not right for you.

Happy birthday :P

i think your dad hates you. he wishes you hadnt been born and spends very little time with you. due to this neglect you seek attention on message boards. however you should remember that we are not your parents.

a) You're in no position to make demands - remember, it's you who is offering a bad product (as you cunningly point out on the same post as where you're trying to sell it), and as you yourself say - you're talking the talk, so why not show everybody on these boards how determined you are to sell it? What do you value your dinosaur at?

b) Golly. "IF". As in hypothetically. "IF" I bought him a N900 and he sold it after a week to go skiing, then yes, I'd probably think I won't buy him anything quite as extravagant again.

A man has always been driving a Toyota Camry and is quite content with it. One day he received a BMW. He fiddled with it for 5 min. and couldn't find the key hole to start the car. He gave up : " What a piece of ****! Thanks but no thanks, I'll stick with my Camry."
