is this app being ported? anyone working on this? will we ever see it in repositories because i think this is an essential app for n900 users (especialy for noobs)

It has been reported that maemo 4 version works well in maemo 5 though it's not optified yet. I read it in www.my-maemo.com - look in the applications or forum section.

yes that one said it was 300 and something mb when installing so i panicked and didnt install

right ive installed zip from extras dev but where do i get rar from?

I was able to apt-get install unzip unrar with extras-devel enabled a few days ago.

ive searched rar in reposotries and got nothing

It's 300 kilobytes, not megabytes. So, at this size it actually does not have to be optified. Works perfectly fine on the N900.

it says the proper archiver is not instaled

could someone post a direct link to unrar deb please as it isnt in any repositories for n900. thanks
