Back up your machine.
Try it out.
File some bugs.
I haven't tried it yet but I will soon.

It works fine for me. Fast and clear. I had a fun time making feedback with my home speaker phone and the N800- very easy to control and modulate.

Yup ... seems to work fine for me too. But so did the last one. I haven't got a chance to try it out with gtalk or do the file transfer thing though.

first bug evident:

When using area code 775 to accept incoming calls, the incoming caller starts to leave a message and I on the N800 SHOULD be able to press "1" to "pick up the phone" and start conversing.

Pressing "1" has no effect whatsoever on the N800, and the incoming caller can only leave a message.

Using the same account on a Windoze PC, running 3.0 Beta, and accepting the incoming area code 775, pressing 1 allows direct conversation, like it should, i.e. "pick up the phone".

Ya ... DTMF tones have always been a little borked on the tablet Gizmo. Did it work for you in previous versions?

There has been a long standing bug related to Gizmo on the Nokia Internet Tablets. Basically, the dial pad is non-functional after a call is established. This makes it useless for voicemail systems, phone support systems and sadly, a lot of VOIP related services. Note, this bug does not affect other OS implementations of Gizmo. Gizmo claims that they cannot fix this bug without proper DTMF support being implemented by Nokia. This bug has been around for a LONG time now. There is a entry in the latest Nokia roadmap that suggests they may finally get around to fixing this issue, but given Nokia's past history, I will believe it when I see it.

DTMF support seems to have been addressed sometime ago (FEB 16) with Version 2.0.0.56. I have been using the dial pad with no problem. It may or may not be broke in the beta version I have not tried that one.

Well, there's a file called gizmo-project_3.0.0.66_IT770_armel.deb in Gizmo's download directory. So it looks like 770 is still supported.
