Hello All

I am a proud owner of an N810 (damn you nokia for abandoning her ) and now an N900. I am starting to get the hang of this whole touch screen -swiping business ( my prior workhorse phone was a treo 650 - damn good phone imo) but accidentally deleted the two icons? that were visible on the fourth view (one said maemo, and the other ovi). How do I get them back? They dont appear to be widgets, and if they were bookmarks, how do I get the n900 to update a bookmark in view so that it shows an image as opposed to text?

Much Obliged

Lol PS upon holding my N900 a female coworker said, wow, that's a man's phone...I have no idea what she meant lol

click on an empty space on your destkop. Then there should be a setting set up appear at the top. Click on it and add widget or icons as your desire. Done!

If you still have the default bookmarks that shipped with the phone just do the following:
long press an empty spot on your desktop
click the top of the screen that says desktop menu
click add bookmark
then select the bookmark for Maemo ( and repeate steps for ovi store)

You'll have those snazzy icons back in no time. As for the man phone comment, i'm no expert but i think thats code for "omg you are awesome! meet me out back in 5 minutes!" but I might be reading too much into it... could also explain my horrible luck with women

Thanks for the quick responses guys!

I went ahead and added the bookmarks, as described and am able to get an image of the site atleast, but alas, not the original icons that were on the fourth view out of the box...so long as they aren't important...
