Well, had my N900 for a couple of weeks now and I can't for the life of me find a way to change the order of the menu, is it possible, have I overlooked something? Same goes for the web browser homepage, it really annoys my that it opens up (bookmarks?) instead of a page I would like. If anyone could shed some light on my problems it would be great, thanks.
Ps. Sorry if i've posted in the wrong section but I wasn't sure where to post

Both are impossible afaik. If you want the browser to open to a specific page, save it as a shortcut on one of the desktops.

I dont mind the lack of a home page setting, but accessing installed applications through 'more' is bad design. there should be a possibility of adding a 'more' shortcut on the desktop for faster access. I'm sure it's easily achievable for these among us with a little know how.

Please vote for this item in brainstorm then:

It won't help for the browser issue, but the clever solution #2 there (hehe) would fix the troubles with the applications menu.

Can anyone post a pic of what their N900 looks like inside one of these?

I've been trying to rearrange the menu as well, and have been fiddling inside:

Code:
/usr/share/applications/hildon
I tried moving ovi.desktop > ovi.desktop.backup, and it dissapeared as I expected from the main menu...but left a a gap (only 14 items in first screen, should be 15). I tried looking around to see if I could find some kind of file for the order but haven't been able to. The ''application.directory'' file didn't seem to help either.

Check out:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Application_menu

Doesn't seem like ~/.osso/menus/applications.menu exists for me as it says it says (assuming this is for the previous maemo 4 only*)

Good question. I think it gets the name from the name in the browser bookmarks, so maybe if you change the name in the bookmark it changes the name on the desktop?
