The RSS reader on my 770 has become so slow as to be unusable even after reboot. I only have 5 news subscriptions. Doesn't anyone know if this would be considered normal behavior for the app? Its completely unclear from any of the docs if the newsreader eventually ages out articles and purges them from memory, and if there is any relationship to the number of unread articles and the slow response of the app. Currently to go from the main window to reading a news article takes about 15-20 seconds, similar times switching between RSS source streams. Very frustrating.
In another article in the forum there is some mention of improvement in the RSS reader response time by marking all articles as read, but its not clear to me how one would do that within the app. I must be missing something here.
OK, additional info... according to the help, the app is supposed to be auto-purging articles after 24 hours. Its not happening, I have articles that are 10+ days old... Probably deleting the groups and resubscribing may fix the issue. Will try.
