I am assuming the N900 has the equivalent of a mac address but being unfamiliar with both linux and the maemo operating system I do not know where to find it.

Im using wi-fi for the device and at my place of work I need to add its mac address to our list to bypass the internet filter.

So if somebody can tell me where to locate it I would appreciate it. If its complicated and requires prerequisites of some sort like root access you may want to walk me through the whole thing.

For completion, two more ways

1. Look on the side of the box

2. type in xterm:
Code:
/sbin/ifconfig | grep wlan
