I just cut the whole panel off the box that had the stickers on it. I think that will do. I couldn't imagine you'd need to create a new account, but I'd do so anyways, just to be sure. You can always cancel the account after you get the rebate.

It's the panel with the barcode and the other sticker. I took a photo of mine with my N900 for reference, and then peeled off the outer layer of the box. It didn't completely destroy the nice box that way, and doesn't make an unsightly and hard-to-mail envelope.

You have to give your login name for Ovi. No need to do more than sign up for an Ovi account on the webpage and include your username.

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?

What if I already have a Ovi account? do I still get the rebate with an older account or do I have to create a new one?

Wish I would've thought of that, now my nice box has a hole where that UPC code use to be.

Oh well, I'm going recycle the box one day anyway.
