I am finding the screen animations to be very jerky now. Also genarally everything is slower to open and things like Medai player open with a blank screen and only if you touch the screen do the rest of the items appear Very odd.

Just uninstalling a few apps and will then do a re-boot to see if things get any better.

For those benchmarking how much space it frees in rootfs, be sure to do an apples to apples comparison and reboot your device before doing the update. Rebooting my device before the update freed about 40 MB of rootfs. After the update and required reboot I had the same amount free as before.

rootfs - 219.5Mb used!!

I deleted a load of programmes, mplayer, SDLmaem, etc etc and still that used up - argh what can I do?

As has been previously stated in this thread, this is because your system is re-indexing and should go away soon.

Could the first or second poster in this thread edit their post to include things like the update forces a re-index so it will be slow, that this update is minimal just to prepare for PR1.1, etc?

Did you reboot? That saved me 40 MB

my accelerometer stopped working after update.. had to fully turn off and switch on again...
