i bought the bt3030 to use it as a remote, you say it changes the output on every track change? haven't experienced this.
what i want is that you can use the fm transmitter and the bt3030 as a remote then because this would really make sense but it sends nothing to the fm transmitter and the music still plays over the bt headset
edit: i didn't read that you were talking about the update, but i tried right now on an updated phone and it still works. i can skip as many tracks as i like and sound stays on the plugged in headphones
Before the update, I had the problem that when trying to skip a track, it would skip more than 1 at a time. I haven't tried it since.

Pair BT3030 with N900 then plug in headphones into N900.
The headphones override the BT3030 so audio comes out of them.
You can still use the BT3030 as a remote control and sound continues to come out of headphones.
Unfortunately it did also redirect the mic to the built-in one instead of using the BT3030, even though it still shows the "headset" icon in the tray. This was annoying but still better than the current situation.
How it works now:
Every time the track changes it goes "oh, a BT headset, lets direct audio to it".
It is no longer possible to keep the BT3030 turned on as a remote AND use the headphones plugged directly into the N900, at the same time
How I think it should work:
Now I am not sure if I should report this is a bug report or not, as its more a user preference. However I would like to ask everyone in general, is there a way to tell the N900 to NEVER use my BT3030 for audio? Its not perfect but I could live with having to use the N900 microphone to make calls, although how the N900 would react to a BT remote with mic but no speakers is anyones guess. It might actually work as desired, its just getting it to ignore is for sound output that is tricky.
Surely there are profiles somewhere that determines what to do when certain combinations of hardware are detected?
