Now, aren't you happy to have your phone and computer all-in-one?

Hey everyone thanks for your help. I flashed my device like 2 times and things were still not working. So i decided to flash it to the first firmware N900 came with. And things work perfect now. But one problem comes with other fixes. This one problem is that now my N900 is not reading my sim card. I haven't updated the firmware yet to 44 but any other advices why the sim card might not be read by the phone? And One more thing. The start up is really slow... Please tell me whats the problem now?

If you've flashed to 2009.51 at any point then it will (apparently) have updated the firmware for the phone chipset. This isn't downgraded when you reflash, so the N900 is probably taking a long time trying (and failing) to talk to the phone chipset. You'll need to update to 2009.51 again.

you will have to download the specific firmware for the device to minimising any problems later on. USA N900 uses 002 firmware. reflashing it with 002 and only it. Else you'll brick your N900.

The SIM card could well be connected to via the phone chipset.

everything is control by the software. Hardware cannot operate without instructions from the software and the OS.

Ok, well, its half way through the firmware update to PR1.1. And i hope it reads my sim card after this because i have been trying to fix my damn phone for 5 hours now and its getting frustrating. It just keeps leading from 1 problem to another.
