although i'm not sure how i did it before the latest update, it seems there's no option to stop the device from constantly searching and attempting to connect now...

is there a way to stop it from searching and connecting? "always ask" still attempts to connect just not automatically but still bugs me...

you must have an app open that is trying to connect...take a look at your widgets or open apps

the only "active" widgets i have is omweather and facebook and the rest are bookmarks and shorcuts. i'm kinda sure those apps aren't the reason...are they?i know i did it before the update but i'm not sure how...

facebook probably isnt but try omweather, go to the settings and see the "automatically update" section....when does it attempt to connect? at random times?

I had a similar problem the other day and it turned out to be the RSS Reader app updating itself automatically every 15 minutes and requesting a connection. It may be worth opening it up and checking if Refresh Feeds Automically is checked in the settings.
