You didn't have to reflash the whole eMMC, Ovi Maps store its data in ~/MyDocs/cities, and just like with the s60 series, deleting that folder should fix any maps problem you might have - Ovi Maps will rebuild it if it cannot find it.

For locale and translations:

The Package Name is "N900-i18n-zh_CN"
the Description is "POSIX locales and translations for zh-CN"
the Version is "20100115-r294"
the Size is "2.25MB"
the Repo is "Maemo Extras-devel", I guest. Because i don't know how to determine which repo it belongs to...

For Input Chinese:

The Package Name is "MSCIM" & "MSCIMgooglepinyin"

By the way, I deleted the "/home/user/MyDocs/cities", and the Maps still Unable to open...

In additional, Because the Maps runs when i set the locale to ‘en_US’ in 'Settings', I tried to forge a ‘en_US’ environment by changing the environment variablies in my Chinese locale.

I run “LANG=en_US /usr/bin/nokia-maps”.....loading forever..
I run "LC_ALL=en_US /usr/bin/nokia-maps".....loading forever..
I run "export LANG=en_US" then "/usr/bin/nokia-maps"......loading forever..
I run "export LC_ALL=en_US" then "/usr/bin/nokia-maps"......loading forever..

I thought it only relate to the environment variablies, but now, It seems not so easy...

Now, I have no idea.....

I somehow figured out how to resolve the locale-related issue.

It's somehow related to the locale-specific files missing from this directory: /usr/share/nokia-maps/html/medos/i18n/

If you can't find the locale directory you're using, try to copy the files from en directory and rename to your current locale code.
