I live in Switzerland. The delivery of a N900 was delayed again until mid february. Chances are, that there will be another delay.
There is a rumour, that this is related to the swiss keyboard. Since i prefer an english/american keyboard anyway i was asking, if there will be english versions available in Switzerland. The answer from Nokia was: "No". So i was looking somewhere else. amazon.com. No luck either, because they won't ship to Switzerland. Pity, since they have devices on stock and they are much cheaper than in switzerland, so even with additional shipping costs and tax it would be a deal. Amazon in general is shipping to switzerland, so i assume, that the deal with Nokia forbids shipping to europe. Similar problems with Dell.
I like the idea of a debian OS in the tablet. So i am willing to buy a device with immature software . I was even spending time with a very confusing development environment. But now i just cant get my hands on a device.
So how the hell is Nokia thinking, that they can push maemo and sell their devices with such distribution politics?
is Nokia listening?

Not sure if they're cheap on this store (and their warranty) but you can try
expansys europe: http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=186949
or
expansys USA: http://www.expansys-usa.com/s.aspx?search=nokia n900
