It would be great of someone could port tucan to maemo,
It's written in python, has a command line option and uses pygtk.
It's for downloading from hosting site such as rapidshare and the likes.

Post devs don't have time to work on our own apps let alone work on requests. Sorry to hurt your feels. Just letting you know that this is not best way to get an application your looking for. Best way would be to show some interest in learning to program it your self and then you would be surprised on how much help you get.

Before the n900 hit the streets we had two big threads - one for app suggestions and one for widgets.

Since then, most of the debs have got involved with their own projects. Your best bet is to think up something quirky and see if you can raise interest. Try making a brainstorm. Or start asking how to make it for yourself.

I have a basic one ready on my N900. Hopefully I'll upload it to the Ovi Store this month, if I can figure out how.

Also, a good london tubes map
There are a couple of "tube navigators" in extras-devel already, they seem to work and should probably just be pushed to extras.

This doesn't mean the thread is useless. As an application developer with an eye to (hopefully) making some money on the Ovi Store, I find it extremely useful as "idea well". If anything, I wish there was some sort of semiautomated way to propose & vote "wishes", and it would be fantastic to have it integrated on the Ovi Store..

imagine something like this:
  • 1234 users are still looking for a better "bunglerizer" (Click here if you are one of them | Go to discussion thread to request features)
  • The top-3 apps for type "bunglerizer" are BungleBuster, KawaBungler and MyBungler
  • The currently available "bunglerizer" apps are SuperBungler, KawaBungler, BunglerFan, Bunglr, MyBungler, BungleBuster
  • Looking for something else? See all app types or create a new type.

Publishers can then spam "voters" of specific apptypes whenever they publish an app.

But I guess since they still can't work out how to make the store work properly with the "click and download" model, something like this will never happen.
