Hi,

One general question, can N900 install java apps like MIDP?

Java 2 Micro Edition support (CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0) or higher?

One simple answer: no, it doesn't.

But it does do an awful lot of other things.

Has anyone come across possible solution to this?

I currently use a realtime traffic information midp ap in the uk on my n97, the supplier has no interest in porting to linux.

This and voice navigationare the only thing stoping me ditching the 97, at the moment i have to carry both!

It is possible, but it is quite complicated now. Basic idea: get the evaluation Sun embedded JRE, then install microemulator.

See this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=37405 for more details.
