I'd like to..
- take text notes
- capute camera images and insert it inline really fast (you do not have much time while taking lecture or conference notes)
- make embedded hand-drawn sketeches
- export to mht

are there any candidates?

With the exception of the last item (.mht files, interesting) does Xournal fit what you are looking for?

No way to enter text (the main purpose!)
No way to insert photos

it is just a big sketching app.

or did i miss something?
