I second this warning. I used the Novus on a gps screen one time and it made it worst. Never did that again . It for use with clear regular plastic like motorcycle shields and etc. The film on these device will most likely get ruined. It works great though on clear plastic, car clear coats, plastic furniture and stuff.

You might have better luck with Plexus or similar type product. Alway test these thing out before use.

good luck.

BTW I have the Phantom skinz on the front (fantastic) and IS on the back great protection and a sfbag sleeve. simply clean and non bulky set up.

It is certainly a weak point - the screen gets scratched so easily :-( mine is full of scratches.

I had two massive scratches on my device. Very disturbing. One was real long like half the width of the screen. However, it was very very feint and only visible in very bright sunlight. The other was not as long but rainbow coloured so very very visible in any conditions. But I scratch remover which failed to remove either scratch and to my frustration turned the longer scratch rainbow coloured as well so always visible.

Thanks! this is all i needed to hear.
I just got a scratch on the screen of my new N900, with -get this- MY FINGERNAIL and another one a minute later with the stylus after it tutched the previous scratch.

so i'm just gonna wait calmly for my 3M vikuity screen protector to arive, and hopefully it will cover the scratches, and prevent new ones

Yup a screen protector is a necessity if you want to prevent scratches.
