I'm a C++ developer by trade using VS as my main IDE. I guess I'm a bit spoiled, but nowdays most of the SDKs I use which targets non native platforms are down to running an installer, after which compilation and deployment happens similar to how native development works inside VS. So, I'm basically wondering if there's any work made towards integrating the maemo SDK with VS. One of the features of the new features of VS 2010 is official support for toolset replacement, which hopefuly would make things easier.

I too am a big fan of vs and work with it. I'd love to see support for making maemo apps in visual studio, it would encourage lots of student development and would make development for windows users alot better. However due to the linux nature of the community and the fact vs is microsoft i can't see it happening

I've taken a quick look at MADDE, and as it actually works with GCC under the hood I'm under the impression that it could be integrated with VS. Which begs the question, is Nokia considering providing this VS integration through MADDE?
