sudo gainroot
cd /tmp
rm -f omw.log
ln -s /dev/null omw.log
exit
exit

You may have to reboot, in case omweather is running and hogging (an old copy of) the log file.

Well, you have to pop open an xterminal (under "Utilities). In that, you type the following commands.

Code:
cd /tmp
rm omw.log
ln -s /dev/null omw.log
This may fail (the message is of the form "File exists", but just bump the dpad up twice to see the 'rm' command again and run that and bump it twice until you see the 'ln' command and run that. It should succeed. Seems to work so far!

Got it. Thanks, guys. Also, I emailed one of the authors of OMWeather about this, so hopefully this bug will be fixed in a future release.

Great - Thanks people - I had coincidentally changed my router & wifi kit and this sporadic issue was driving me a little crazy.

I just built new version of Omweather (0.22.10) for diablo. Now this version is placed in exstars-devel. I couldn't move it to extras. Seems like that I have this problem

I don't have that repository. Do you have the info for it? Or maybe just post a .deb file to install it?
