I tried that for fun but the icons are really small... but anyway.. here it is

the one supposed to be in 48x48 are in fact 54x61 but they are well showed.

so far ive hacked my N900 quite a bit:

-modified LED colours and vibrations
-removed boot video (can also use custom video, but i prefer none)

into:
usr/share/themes/******/images
