If you're using the 386 target you'll need to switch to the armel target.
Code:
sb-conf select FREMANTLE_ARMEL
As per the SDK installation instructions.

I just did a quick build of it in my scratchbox install, and I got the stock GTK desktop version running beautifully. However, the person who owns that git repo makes a reference to building against Hildon, which I haven't been able to figure out, probably due to the fact that I don't understand autoconf, nor do I particularly want to. :P I might fire him/her an e-mail and ask about the status, especially given anidel's work on Xournal for Maemo. If someone else is working on a different build, then that bears some looking into.
Do note that the code as-is will build a successful package, but will not add dependencies to the package control file. This means you will have to install libpoppler-glib4 (in -devel, so the usual caveats apply - don't do it unless you know what you're doing, and unless you know how to fix your phone if things go terribly, horribly wrong with it, which they probably will.), and libgnomecanvas2-0 manually.
Cheers,

I could post the packages, but I'm rather reluctant to, because of the aforementioned caveats (which an extraordinary number of people seem to ignore), and because of another whole debate that I don't want to get into (search the forum for "install deb" to see all the fun that came of that). As I said, in my brief test on one of my N900s, it appears to work quite well, but I have absolutely no guarantee. If you're sure you don't mind the risk, PM me, and I'll send you the details; I just don't have the time to do things properly, and I don't want to post what I do have done publicly for other people to potentially break things with. :P

Oh... for the N800? I thought you meant the N900. I don't know if it works in Diablo, but the build instructions are in the file called "MAEMO" in the source distribution on GitHub. I'm afraid I don't have the time to fiddle with compiling it for the N8x0 at the moment, but if you run into issues, I'll see what I can do to help you.

I reinstalled the maemosdk and reset the scratchbox, now it's done!

in my N800,it seems work well,of course,u should install libpoppler4 and libgnomecanvas2-0 manually

That's cool stuff...

I'll check his changes and speak with him and see if it's for him to have me integrate his search patches on my Maemo version.

I will need to sync my code to 0.4.5 as well.
