If Maemo6 isn't on the N900 I would be rather annoyed. Less than a year and you've already got an old hat out-of-date OS. That would be painful.

If not, no. The hardware is superb. Went into an apple shop today to play around with the iphone, what a garbage camera comparatively. (One of the main reasons I chose the N900).

I love it. It amaze me every day with something new.
For example, yesterday I watched movies from my Win7 share using cifs

Still, I think I spent WAAAAAAY too much on this device, especially. comparing to other guys here - even the highest amount of money someone published here is not even close to what I spent on it ( If anyone is curious, I spent 4,200 NIS = 1,135$!!!).
For around 500$-600$ it could have had a nice ROI for me.

I shouldn't have bought it from a local cell phone store in Israel (who took me extra 80$ for the "Made In Korea" instead of China which is bools**t). Next time I'm buying directly from Nokia/any other company, or at least eBay.

I'm very happy with the device - so far.
The only things which I don't like are always linked to 'business decisions' limiting the available features such as not allowing camera-access for the flash-player or deactivating the FM-transmitter when in USB-mode.

However, all in all we got much more freedom here than with any other comparable device I heard of.

No. Well I've could have gotten myself about 50 bottles of decent wine. But now I can listen to grooveshark from my car.

The placement of audio- and usbplug annoys me. But ... right now this is the best phone for my current needs.

Why would you buy a phone that doesn't fit your needs?
