i was planning to do a stick app+widget a while ago and I saw stockthis existed.
it looked OK to me so I didnt proceed with my idea

what exactly do you mean by "not flexible" ?

Yes please work on this to have widget.

My wish-list;
- Able to edit the amount of shares, currently pretty much hardcoded. You cannot modify on the fly if you now have addition shares.
- Profile should be includes like fees, when you bought it, or show currently owned, or sold. Profits %, or cost.
- Total stock owned with break down. Hee hee i know is too much.

Just to let you get start...more to come :>

Thanks for the answer!!! Do you have a screenshot of what it would look like once on the N900? I'm really a noob, so before f*ck*ng up with this I'd like to see the results!!!
Thank you so much for your answer

Radiowc,
your idea sounds great
and for me it is quit important if I could follow the prices on my N900 screen.

I could not install the quote (the first step you told).
I don`t now why but the xterminal said there are problemas with 'make'. I`m not good enough in X.

Would you mind to explain how to instal the quote (the step 1) in our N900 ?

Thanks!

I got it. The Radiowc idea is really brilliant.
I installed "quote"
and I have to change something on "quote"

The first line of this program is
$lynx_path = "x";
and you must change to
$lynx_path = "/usr/bin/lynx";

as I save the "quote" in the directory /usr/bin

Then I installed lynx

and finally, with Desktop Command Execution Widget I have now a very good way to follow the market.

Fantastic. Personalized. Something I can imagine is only possible in a phone like N900.

Thanks guys. Thanks Radiowc for sharing your expirience.

RADIOWC,
your post really helped me a lot.
Thank you very much for sharing your expirience.
I think this "widget" is almost perfect.
