Lately, I have tried to install a Conboy update, a Trustme update, and fennac. All have failed with dependency problem:

Application packages missing: libc6(>=2.7.1)
libssl0.9.8(>=0.9.8f-5)

The libc6 dependency is not the same in all cases. However, all of them are greater than what is installed:

Nokia-N810-43-7:~# dpkg -l libssl0.9.8
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name Version Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8e-9maemo3 SSL shared libraries
ii libc6 2.5.0-1osso10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone

I have a n810 flashed with what I believe is the latest version of Diablo - 5.2008.43-7.

My repo list is fairly pure with "diablo" only repos, so I'm not sure why these programs I'm trying to install are telling me this - especially when I can't find similar problem reports.

Any suggestions on how to fix this stuff?

Isn't Fennec old anyway? Firefox 1.0 for Nokia N900 / N810 can be found here: http://www.firefox.com/m

You're right - its Firefox 1.0. I'll try to change the title.

apt-get check

produced a partial install of openssl

apt-get remove openssl

and voila, packages cleaned up and the install worked fine.
