Hi there,

1. Were the screens released earlier, interface concepts or shots of the working app?

2. When it's ready, it's gonna head to the Ovi Store, or their own catalog/repo?

3. This one might be tough, but maybe someone heard somthing, some apps now require PR1.1. Any idea if this one will? I hope not. I don't want to update.

Thanks!

And why don't you want to update?

It is a seamless process. No need to reinstall applications or reconfigure your device. Everything works as before the update - only much better

Regarding your question then you'll need at least PR1.0.1 in order to even access the Ovi Store. I don't think anything has been said whether JoikuSpot will be available from the Ovi Store or another respository.

Thanks for the reply!

I have PR1.0.1, but no matter what I did I can't seem to get enough space (or eliminate conflicts) for PR1.1. even though I have 45mb free.

So that leaves a flash update. but there are sooo many little little changes i made to config files all over the place for games and progs and such that i can't even remember.....and everything has to be re-downloaded.....knowing my luck, the repos will be down at that exact minute. :P (the ONE thing i hate about linux :P, if only the app package and its "dependencies" can be combined in one executable that can be saved for later installation. no internet needed that would be da bomb)

So anywayz, big hassle and nothing in PR1.1 to justify it.

No biggie. tis all good. Hopefully the Juiko people would be nice

I don't know about JoikuSpot, but more and more apps are going to need PR1.1 installed, so you'll need to update sooner or later.

And you know that you can temporarily disable some repositories like extras-testing and extras-devel to regain some tens of MBs of free space while you upgrade to PR1.1? After upgrading you just enable the repositories again. But you probably know this already

duuude. I said "no matter what I did" :P. That means I did everything.

Disabled all repos except the update repo. Optified python. Uninstalled every app i got from extras-devel. Uninstalled everything that i saw took more than kbs of space (even from extras). rebooted a gazillion times......

My plan is. I'll flash update WHEN there is one hell of a feature adding update. I'm guessing though that that's gonna be a whiile :P
