because there has been no known launch date... but we are very close now, at least as far as I know. But still... no official date available...

yeap! well you answered my question 100% but i have one additional. how will it connect to the satelite? i mean, i am going to be charged with data traffic each time i use it?

It connects to the satellite via the N900's built in GPS. If you are concerned with data costs you can turn off network positioning which will turn off the assisted GPS (AGPS) which means lock on to the GPS will take longer. But it will still work.
