Im having some issues to upload to Extras-devel, I upload my .deb successfully (at least I think) and got the following message:

hoopsfrenzy_1.0.2_armel.deb 100% 3308KB 236.3KB/s 00:14
hoopsfrenzy_1.0.2_armel.changes 100% 487 0.5KB/s 00:00
Successfully uploaded packages.
Not running dinstall.

And after that nothing... I can't see my package online... Im also not sure If I should be worried by the "Not running dinstall".

Any help or extra info. would be appreciated here... cuz Im kinda stuck...

TIA,

Cheers

You can search for the package name on http://maemo.org/packages/ and you'll be redirected to:

http://maemo.org/packages/view/hoopsfrenzy/

Also, the import might take a while after the upload, because it only runs a few times every hour AFAIK. For source uploads, we also get an e-mail, I don't know if this is the case for binary uploads as well.

Humm allright fair enough, having a quick look at it:

http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...sfrenzy/1.0.2/

Its complaining about bugtracker... For that I should simply put in the control file:

Bugtracker: mailto:<someemail@mail.com>

right?

Allright scratch that got the answer:

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31019

However after that what's next? Do someone need to approve it before it goes online or if everything with my package is fine it'll be added automatically or if not can I check what is the problem at the address above in my previous post?

Yeah work fine when you got my repo. installed... But for 99.9% of the Nokia owners that don't have it well that's another story hehe...

Anyway seems to have some progress:

hoopsfrenzy 1.0.3 Fremantle Extras-testing non-free armel Package is in testing System 2010-02-13 04:16 UTC

We'll see how it goes

Anyone knows how long it takes for them to test?

I see it in Extras-testing on my N900. From what my very limited knowledge of the whole testing process on Maemo, I believe it has to be voted out of testing by the community.

Extras-testing is not installed by default on the N900... only Extras... the idea is to reach the "common users" with our games

And since the OVI store doesn't accept paid application, we are trying to find another channel for all our SIO2 developers, so we can port the SDK and told them: "hey! check it out you can port your games to the N900, this is how you can sell on the platform..."

That explains the initiative with the Extras
