it's not a phone |

I have a very poor phone signal where i live (sometimes no signal at all) yet i have a wireless network access.
I'm looking for a way to turn off the phone from the status bar yet keep the wireless capabilities (that's why offline mode is no good - turns off both).
this will greatly increase my battery life yet keep me connected to the internet where most of my communication happens anyway.
I found the app Wifi Switcher which was very useful but turns off the wireless rather than the cellular network.
Does anyone know anything similar that suites these needs ?
Thanks !
