BTW, what is that "hardware button to go back" you mention ? In Opera I use the "escape" button all the time, and I miss it in Minimo.
I'm sorry I was confused with Opera considering the hardware button. I have the n800 for only a week. But you're right, an option for the icons would be a nice.

Thanks Antonio!

Small problem: when activating the onscreen keyboard, the keyboard's "menu" option (where you get access to the cut/copy/paste functions) is now broken... this menu flashes briefly but quickly closes. Thus I am unable to paste info into Minimo.

This is awkward, not being able to activate the navigation controls in full-screen mode... once upon a time there was a menu that one could activate to reach the navigation controls.

In addition, closing tabs does not always work... certainly for active windows ("transferring"). For example, with maps.google.com the resulting windows stays in "transfer" mode, the stop control does not work... and the close-tab control does not respond... what happens next is that minimo's screen switches to tab-less mode... and I am unable to get it back to tabbed mode, nor to close the current window.

Thanks tonikitoo, this is by far the app with the most potential on the N800. I installed yesterday and will try it out, it already seems to be a lot more stable and faster.

I just gave this version a quick spin and is it just me or does it appear quicker to load sites than Opera?

The lack of any menu in full screen mode makes it a pain to use, although I actually quite lack the fact there is no toolbar and could live with just a context menu. As things stand I have to switch back to non-full screen mode in order to change to a different site or go back to my homepage (my homepage is a web page where I keep my bookmarks - kind of like Homebase) then revert to full screen.

Also, the inability to scroll the page using the stylus (because the default behaviour is to select text) is seriously annoying as I hardly ever want to select text, please make scrolling the default stylus behaviour in the next build!

I know there are several other things which aren't quite there yet (Homebase and Bookmarks don't seem to be working in this build) but if you can fix the full screen context menu, add support for the Back/escape and Menu buttons, and change to stylus scrolling by defauilt then Minimo is in serious danger of replacing Opera as my default N800 browser!

Yup, minimo has been inching tantalizingly close to daily-use quality for the last three versions, but there's always this or that little detail left...

indeed, i wrote about the problem already. this is (mainly) what keeps me off from using/trying minimo, the missing ability to use keyboard context menu. since i often use copied links, i have to use opera.
but bugzilla seems to me unused or i have no access to submit a bug

Good news, the fix for the icon toolbar in fullscreen mode is almost ready. That was quick ! But then it's not a Nokia project :-)

Tonik!

Thank you so much for spending time on this project and actually listening to what the users need, it really makes a big difference and if I where nokia, I'd be giving you an award for innovation, thankyou!
