I am having problems with my bluetooth headsets interfering with the Wifi connection. For example if I use by bluetooth headset BH-904 for Skype calls over Wifi always drops the call and the sound quality is awful. It causes major problems and sometimes I need to restart my device to have the Wifi working again.
When using it over 3G no problems. Does anyone knows how to solve this or if is going to be solved via a SW update?

do you have up2date firmware? I used to have this problem before, but seems like one of the two updates has fixed it

I've had this problem since the last 3 firmwares. From what I could glean off the bt buglist, this problem is because the BT antenna and the wifi antenna are the same (or something like that), which means that heavy traffic on one protocol causes dropouts on the other.

I could be wrong. I hope I am wrong and hope that this will get fixed by a simple firmware upgrade.

I get this problem with my Netbook. I have a borderline WiFi signal from my landlord, if I switch on Bluetooth the WiFi drops completely, I guess it's hardware/RF interference. I guess some devices could be more prone to this than others?

Have you increased the WiFi power to 100mW and turned off power saving?

All devices that have bluetooth and wifi share the same antenna. I am using my bt headset on skype over wifi on my laptop and it works fine. I've tried the same thing on my N97 (it finally supports skype) and it works all right. The N97 also shares the wifi antenna with BT.

I suppose that happens because the weak wifi signal you get from your landlord and beacuse of that any other radio signals are potentially disturbance. My laptop works fine, but I have quite good wifi signal all round the house.

Lets get back to the N900: yes my WIFI power is at 100mW and I have also tried turning off power saving. No change (

This is still a problem for me.
It started a few days ago.
