43. Using it mainly for final testing of my programs and sometimes as a phone. I'd like to use it for training also (ski at this season), but it's too expensive for me now to buy a new one if I'll break or lose this and I can't stand without it.

17, and I use my n900 as a phone (obviously) and also to keep me entertained. Watching vids, listening to music, exploring the OS itself, doing some crazy stuff with it... oh well, Maemo!

I'm 21 years old and I use it for just about anyting my geekish mind can come up with :P
Nah, I use it as a phone, music player, camera, yet another something to mod and finetune to my own likings (did I mention I love the fact that it's got Linux? ) ...
And I'm dreaming of the day I can actually make time to start coding for it, so I can make up for the little things I still miss on an otherwise wonderful device!

I'm 38 and am using it for surfing the internet when not on my laptop,
email and entertainment such as watching movies,
learning new languages while walking my dog or driving my car
and reading audio-books...
sometimes even an occasional phone call.

so basic, just everything I normally do on my laptop.
And a little modding aside
(don't do that on my Win7 laptop...so there is a difference )

I'm 26...29...OK, DAMN!! I'm 34! (dang, I'm getting old...)

The N900 is my main computer, like the N95 8gb before it, as well as my DVD player replacement, FM Radio, main camera (which sucks compared to all my previous Nseries' massively-better-than-the-competition cams), SIP phone, and black book.

My backup is a Vista destop by Compaq, covered with dust and never used if I could record live TV on the N900.

I am 15 , and i use it mainly for IM and surfing , and another main function is taking a load of random drunken party photos and uploading them to facebook at a later date , this causes alot of embaresment to my friends
Also use it for my videos and music on the go , love the way you don't have to convert AVI's to Mp4 like i had to do with my iPod touch + the screen is way better

31. After a 10 day trial I have retired the 5800xm and now use the N900 as my main communications device. I use Skype, the IM application, the camera and Nokia messaging on a daily basis. I play with some of the other things it can do. This really is the device I was waiting for since the 770

27, I'm a compsci student learning to program. I like being able to use easy debian and python to test code fragments and alogrithms when I don't have, or it's inconvenient to use my laptop.

At least thats the unique usage it provides. I also use it as a way to play videos on my tv. It replaced my old 2mp kodak, my old 2gb sandisk mp3 player, my old nokia 6682, and I have been known to use the GPS now and again to find my way in downtown vancouver.

It stores my shopping lists, keeps track of my bank balance, reminds me when I need to be somewhere, and does moderate to heavy web browsing when I am bored. Also email and all that jazz. I usually don't sign in to IM on my desktop anymore, now that I have it.

All in all, a fantastic device.

Edit: oh yeah, I use it to talk to my MOM over Google Talk now and again to avoid using minutes, and long distance charges. (to hell with Canadian cellular for still charging long distance.)
