wont happen. apple doesnt even compete in symbian's core market of non-smartphones

Not surprised; especially since WinMo isn't really all that great of an experience as of late. Just... so stagnant.

although i'm not a fan of Winmo, Windows phone series 7 is better than iphone Os IMHO. hopefully it will change how people look into Winmo.

I agree that the new windows phone os looks killer. Whether it's better than the iPhone OS, will depend on a several things. But Microsoft sure has the financial backing to make it a reality.

The problem is that the number of dumb people outnumbers the number of geeky/clever people.

Therefore iPhone will always be popular because its so pathetically easy to use and stupid.

Am I wrong in my assessment? That is the 1 simple reason why the iPhone is popular, because it make stupid people think they are clever.

Perhaps overly simplistic view, but nonetheless true.
