So I got my New baby in the mail today. I took some shots of the USB female lead. sry if they are a little blurry. It seems the female lead comes out more. maybe leans on the surrounding plastic more now than before.
Also it seems the surrounding plastic around the keyboard has been fixed on this unit. the one I had before the platic around the keyboard was very loose.

I took my phone to a Nokia repair centre in Carphone warehouse, Oldham, UK.
I was told by their repairs team that they couldn't fix it and it wasn't covered in warranty to fix this part of the device!!!!
They offered me advice to send the phone direct to Nokia, but couldn't be arsed with all that.
I was mad (Still am...lol)
So i took it to Vodafone because its insured, and now they are sending it to their Vodafone repairs team to fix, otherwise they'll send me a new handset.
Had the joy of backing up all my files with my spare battery so feeling slightly better.
Someone has mentioned that when you restore the back-up it won't install the apps only provides a list of them
If thats the case, its gonna be a long day installing all those apps again!?!
Just have to wait 2weeks before the whole thing gets resolved!
Nokia have to sort this problem out, because alot more people are gonna have this problem. I used to follow this thread even when my phone was fine, and i was extremely cautious about how i handled the device. Wasn't prepared for my foot getting caught in the wire.
If anyone needs advice...get insurance with your mobile operator just in case Nokia screw you over and don't support the repair....it wouldn't be the first time Nokia has screwed with you, so learn from others mistakes!

If you have the backup files then you can do a restore including all apps (they'll get redownloaded and reinstalled). This should preserve all the settings, but some apps are failing to add their settings files to the backup list.

Thanks mate do you happen to know which one of these apps fail to add their settings files to the back-up list?
