As T-Mobile charge me for voicemail collection and charge all call diverts as out of plan calls (so I can't divert voicemail to my home phone and collect later) I was wondering if it was theoretically possible to have a local answerphone/ voicemail box set up on the n900?

If it's more than theoretically possible and an app exists please can someone point me at it?

Stupidly I didn't check the VM charging situation before I changed from Orange to TMobile - on my particular Orange plan it was inclusive, so I assumed that was standard! Ha! How niave am I? lol

Thanks for the suggestion, however I think Google Voice can only be used if you're in the US and I'm in the UK.... Does look pretty cool though....

Theoretically: yes, for example this kind of application exists for Symbian phones. In practice: I do not think that this application exists... yet.

Personally, I just switch the answering machine off. If people have really something important to tell me, they'll try again.
