I sent mine into repair via the Nokia USA web link last week. Sent it out on Thursday, received a brand new one back via fedex today.

That's a quick turnaround. Got the same letter as others had gotten: unable to be repaired, so it was replaced. It came with the original shipping firmware on it, I had to update it twice before it was up to date.

Now to get it all pimped out again. I wasn't able to do a backup of my old one, due to not being able to charge it...

Otherwise known as "fixed in the OS that we won't tell you whether you're getting it or not"

That kinda sounds like NOT FIXED to me.

yeah that does sound like the case however i do hold out the hope that meego will be available eventually for the n900 even if it is through comunity implementation apart from this usb issue i find that everything i have wanted to do so far with my phone i have been able to things like mms etc i can take or leave

When looking at the high speed footage from the drop tests at nokia's test centre, I get a bit hesitant about the idea of attaching the connector to the outer case...
