What a wonderfully pleasant surprise. Thank you! That's the third donation I've received for Easy Debian.

Did the Ctrl-dot window moving trick work for you?

I tried some portrait mode experiments, but they didn't work out so well. Things don't resize properly and the touchscreen goes out of calibration. (I think it is the two layers of X-servers...)

the default config is messing up with the current install from extras, the image pointer is set to a filename (outdated aswell I guess) and not to MyDocs/debian*.img* or mmc1/debian*...
had to write it into .chroot by hand to get it working from sd card.

Nice work btw (found no further bugs yet)

chemist:

Thanks for the report!

I just checked. My package still has all the images commented out in the default .chroot file. But my package does not overwrite your existing .chroot file, so if your existing file points to an outdated package, you will have to modify it manually...

I wish Maemo had some kind of functionality that would ask if you want to overwrite or keep your config files, like in Debian.

I tested the versions of easy-deb and easy-deb-chroot in Extras-Testing and everything works fine for me.

The config files in .config/lxde are just overwritten, which I guess is OK, since only those following this thread will have figured out how to change the appearance of LXDE anyway.

The .xbindkeysrc file was not overwritten, and .xbindkeysrc.dist provided instead, which is how I like it to be, but in .xbindkeysrc.dist the first two lines seem to have slipped in by accident. This file starts with the lines
Code:
Mounting...
Using ext2 file system
# For the benefit of emacs users: -*- shell-script -*-
###########################
# xbindkeys configuration #
###########################
#
# Version: 1.8.2
#
....
Btw, there is indeed a slight typo in your bugtracker link: Instead of "http://..." it reads "xsbc-bugtracker: http://..." and does not open in my browser when I click it. The URL however is correct. [EDIT: Just saw that you are aware of the problem.]

Thanks again for your good work, and I think I owe you a donation as well - once I've finally donated to Haiti, you are the second on my list!

rebhana:

I can confirm the "Mounting... Using ext2 file system" in the .xbindkeysrc file. The two extra lines don't seem to break xbindkeys, so that's good news. I've fixed it for later versions.

The bugtracker link is NOT broken. Seriously. Where are you (and others) seeing the broken link? On the package instance page (where, for me, it is correct)? Or on the overview page, where it is indeed broken, because it is inherited from an old version of the package?

UPDATE: Now it appears to be fixed on the overview page as well. I wonder if it randomly pulls info from whatever package each time it rebuilds the web page???

On http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...6-1fremantle1/ but as I now found, not always. Every other reload it's broken, then it's OK again, as I now commented over there. EDIT: Did it a few more times - it really oscillates! EDIT2: and now it stopped, fortunately in the correct state.

sounds like a proxy / caching problem to me. (not necessary on your part, could be a transparent proxy or smth like that).

Seems to be really a bug in the packages pages - as qole noted over there: http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...6-1fremantle1/
