I just got my navicore kit yesterday and can't activate my license. Each time I try the is a network error but the wlan and gprs connections work fine. I think there servers are down maybe? Has anyone activated aince friday afternoon?

I like the gps with my n80 but am most excited for the n800.

Believe it or not I am glad to hear you are having the same issue. I thought I was going nuts. I have been trying to get mine registered since last night and have the same issue. I also tried to use Navicore's website to get contact phone numbers (you need your reg key to get them) and the web page came up with an internal server error. It looks like they are working on their system.

Thanks for posting this, my blood pressure just went down a lot.

Pretty bad out of box experience for me this weekend Anyone who has activation software like that really needs to keep it running 24x7.

Trying to keep the dishonest people more honest while hurting a paying customers first impressions of your software is a mistake in my book.

I love the hardware but not to happy with the software so far.

I'm in the same boat with the rest of you guys... received Navicore a couple days ago, and it refuses to activate. Worse, if you attempt to construct a route, after entering the start and stopping point you get a dialog informing you that routing is unavailable until licensing has succeeded that *can't be dismissed!* (Clicking 'OK' just displays it again!) I had to power cycle my N800 to get rid of it... (all the other keys were ignored).

Anyway... there's a discussion elsewhere on here (I found via Googling) where a guy was having the same activation problem, and he said that at one point he had the chance to use a different Internet connection than his own, and it succeeded so he chalked it up to some firewall or filtering problem with his own connection. However, since so many of us seem to be having this problem, I doubt that it's it -- it seems much more likely that the license activation server is simply down?

EDIT: As with David, as of this (Monday) morning it successfully licensed itself. Yay!

I just activated my US Navicore Personal! Now that they are awake in western europe.

What a frustrating weekend

I am reviewing the navicore software and it would tell me the license was already in use probably from previous reviewer.

Had to call their helpdesk and they "unlocked" the activation code. Had issues connecting to their server with the code.

Turns out according to their helpdesk that the software uses tcp port 9000 to connect to the server and my workplace's firewall was blocking of course.

Switched to EDGE connection via my phone, worked fine.
