Is it somehow possible to detect if a N900, which is attached to USB in mass storage mode, has the Ogg Vorbis and/or Extra Decoders Support packages installed?

A new version of Banshee was released yesterday which has support for the N900, but it only supports the default decoders on the N900 (MP3 etc). I have currently written a patch which allows banshee to additionaly read the standard .is_audio_player-file to allow the user to specify that your N900 also supports ogg vorbis etc. However it would be cleaner if i could somehow automatically detect if the extra decoders are installed (by example by looking for specific file which is installed by those packages)

Neither of those packages put anything in the mass storage mountpoint, if that's what you're looking for.

Yes that would be the easiest method. I guess there is no other method of acquiring this information when the device is connected in Storage Mode?
