Hi, i've been trying wiicontrol out with some emu's.. and its become pretty clear, its causing a bug. And i wanted to know if anyone else noticed it, or found a work around fix yet.

This bug shows up in all the emu's (from ines to the new picodrive, all of them), but only when a wiimote is connected to the phone.

What happens is, after starting a rom up, after a while, it closes down and goes back to menu again..
It has something to do with the timeout on background lighting... Since if i change the background light timeout to 10sec, in the settings of n900 menu, the rom closes after 10sec, if i change it to 2min, it closes down after 2min, exactly...

This does Not happen if you load a rom without using wiimote.. even if you dont touch the keyboard on the n900. You can actuelly see the emu's keeping the n900 alive, so it dosent turn off background light.

So the bug has to be in wiicontrol it self..

cool I have seen 1 other report same issue, but he reported it in the emulator's thread..

I can also say that i have had simple brightness widget installed on my n900. i don't know if that one could have screwed some settings up that the wiicontrol app used?

anyways, its still playable setting timeout to 2min, and i still enjoy playing

hey konttori, this is kinda off topic but do you plan on promoting wiicontrol to extras-testing in the future?

hi mthmob, I posted in the lico thread about this. I had the problem with drnoksnes also but someone told me to uncheck the "pause game in background" box and that fixed it. im glad its not only me as it was driving me nuts last nite. pico drive is sooo good i hope this gets sorted.

2nd what se23 says. It's not a Wiicontrol problem, but a DrNokSNES setting.
