I've noticed that when I use maemoscrobbler with the default Media Player, it scrobbles my songs to last.fm as it should - except that it usually gets the artist wrong. For instance, instead of "Nightwish", it puts something like "Oy Records 2003" or something (song titles are still correct). It seems like it's somehow finding information about the record company who distributed the songs instead of the artists!
I'm not sure where it's getting that info from...I've checked the ID3 tags, and the artists are correct there.
It doesn't affect all artists, just some. I listen to a lot European metal bands, and it seems to mostly affect those.
This is on OS2008, Diablo.
Anyone else have this problem? Know of any workarounds?
