oh lord, watch some people come on this thread with statements like "why do you want a facebook app when you can just visit the site on your phone" and "i dont use facebook so i see no reason for an app"...etc

I would quite like for an fb app but it appears that the crowd that the n900 has is not very interested.

http://touch.facebook.com/ or http://lite.facebook.com/ should work really well in the browser.

Doesn't facebook use Jabber for IM now? There's no need for a separate application when it comes to that.

I think the topic creator wants an integrated Facebook app experience like the iPhone's (chat, photo uploading, browsing, etc..)

As for the creator's question. It depends on the API's Facebook releases for 3rd party developers. I suspect most things aren't accessible via the API so unless Facebook does the application themselves or someone hacks around there's going be nothing like the iPhone Facebook app.

yes i am using jabber account for facebook. the chat is much faster and easier on battery than the facebook convers*tions plugin.

i also dont feel the need for a facebook app when i have chat so integrated, photo and video sharing plugin, and access to full site as well as touch.facebook.com
