last time i installed Pidgin on N900, it automatically installed Pidgin and Telepathy Extra Protocols (Bonjour and Sametime) with it. I un-installed both and re-install Pidgin again this morning, this time just Pidgin itself installed, and working, I wonder isn't Bonjour and Sametime Protocols must be installed to be able to run Pidgin on N900???

Additional protocols are available from app manager. E.g. Bonjour, Sametime, Office Communicator.

thanks naabi, however what I mean was that Bonjour and Sametime Protocols was installed automatically with Pidgin last time, so I assumed Pidgin needs Bonjour and Sametime Protocols to be able to run, is this true?

No. If you install pidgin directly: You can still connect to yahoo, msn.

But if you need to connect to "extra" protocols i.e. IBM Lotus Sametime then you need the extra protocols. (Thats why I install the bonjour and sametime protocols). Since I need that to connect to sametime.
