I use it for internets and as my main phone. I also sketch and sometimes hack with it.

And it's something you can brag about.

I am 33. Morning Alarm (most important) with additional Alarms with calender, Calender/Appointments, In car via FM transmitter, mp3 player with lots of albums installed, Skype for long distance calls, phone , texting, games (Angry Birds, chess, Solitaire, etc as soon as they come out, email, Internet surfing (way better than iPhone), flash-light , remote control, camera but most of the time. I also have iPhone, I use N900 more often. I always grap the N900 because of Internet surfing and FM receiver and Internet Radio Stations.

The down side I am charging it twice daily but love to be able to have Multi applications open at the same time. Also love the Skype Integration with Phone Contacts.

Heya, Im 27.

Purchased N900 because I fell in love with the touch-screen controlling of my friends iPhone but didnt want that Apple stuff. I was first interested in Android (Milestone, cause I love HW keyboards) but Maemo is much more open and without a need of some kind of jailbreak.

Now I use it mainly for
a) reading work emails, especially excel files when Im on the go (in car)
b) Internet
c) listening to music (on train/bus, having that 3.5" jack is great)
d) I love the FM transmitter too, both in car and at home - made my old stereo set useful again

I am 36, and for a long time I've been an open-source user/occasional contributor. I've abandoned Windows on the desktop even before the year 2000 -- mostly for ethical reasons, but it helped me accrue expertise on the area and then I started working with it.

However, since the start of the smartphone era, I couldn't use Linux in my cellphone. My last phone was a giant HTC Athena, a phone I bought solely because I've seen a video in youtube with a guy installing android in it -- I thought it would be ready and stable in a few months, but there was no further effort after that and I was stuck with the dreadful Windows Mobile.

When I head of the N900, I though, it's not possible, is it a dream phone? I ordered it from the USA and really, really liked it - it's the phone of my dreams, no doubt. And my desktop apps run on it!

I use it for almost everything, from impressing girls and get laid (no kidding) to programming and browsing the web. I think if I did enumerate all the stuff I've already done with it (in less than 2 months) my post would get boring and even then I'd miss something.

This phone is surely an extension of my body.
