Mmh... could a other one with the latest SDK installed test this?
Pherhaps the screenshot could be a mockup!

It looks like it - the bottom row of buttons doesn't seem to have resized properly though, and they're overlapping.

I can confirm it's not a mockup BUT it could be due to forcing the screen into rotating, I opened up the keyboard from landscape mode and rotated, so it showed up in portrait mode, but if it was in portrait mode and the keyboard was launched in portrait mode it would go back to landspace.

I just found another interesting think. I doesn't mean anything, but they added new string 'New MMS' to rtcom-messaging-ui.po

If you don't believe, try this command in scratchbox:
strings /usr/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/rtcom-messaging-ui.mo | grep MMS

It is interesting, and it shows one more thing, chat rooms should be added.

I can't verify it till I get mce to run properly, xrandr forces the rotation.
If anyone can help here's what I get:
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: /] > mce
mce: Cannot acquire service: Connection ":1.37" is not allowed to own the service "com.nokia.mce" due to security policies in the configuration file
mce: Failed to initialise D-Bus

And using fakeroot
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: /] > fakeroot mce --debug-mode
mce: Failed to open connection to message bus; Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
mce: Failed to initialise D-Bus

Assuming that you've ran af-sb-init.sh, have you tried running mce with "run-standalone.sh" prefixed?

P.S. You may find http://www.mail-archive.com/maemo-de.../msg20027.html interesting.
