hi,

yesterday I've give 2008he a second try. I really like it, and I think it is fast enougth.

The problem is the sound, the reason I give up the first time.

Today I solve this problem... its really simple...

echo 100 > \
/sys/devices/platform/audio-i2c/driver/audio-i2c/volume_left
echo 100 > \
/sys/devices/platform/audio-i2c/driver/audio-i2c/volume_right

enjoy...

I have to try this tonight. I have an N900 too, but would occassionally want to use the bigger 770 screen, to rest my eyes. I really think that developing of he2008 was abandoned too early

I tried your advice (as root) but ended up with distorted, gurgling sound, which my 770 with HE2008 already had

Looks like I have very high volume events and very low volume everything else while on speaker. The sound is okay though - I barely hear it but it is not distorted.

distorted and loud, through speakers, built-in media player. I recall having different results with he2008 flashed kernel and os2006 or he2007 image kernel. I now have the he2008 image flashed kernel
