I just don't have much WiFi networks around my country house. So far I am using my phone's browser (SonyEricsson m600i, which is good and has a fast 3G connection, but too cumbersome to surf with).

With Sony's TX model, one can pop in the SIM-card and surf away. Is there any way to do this with the N800? Has any of you tried this? And is the connection via the phone done via the N800's bluetooth connection?

Thanks for any answer!

The N800 will connect over BT to your phone. There is a connection wizard to help you set up the connection.

Be careful you have a data plan and not just a 'media' plan. A technician at AT&T (Cingular) told me yesterday about a guy who swapped a sim card from a phone with one in his laptop data card. He got hit with a $14,000 cell bill. At&t gave him a break and only charged him $7,000. I'm not sure exactly how true all the details are; it could have been a pitch to buy the more expensive data plan.
