hi
im not exactly a noob but this is kinda a noob question:

how do i uninstall an app and delete its setting?
cuz i installed mytube and now i need to change its setting to where to save the videos.

when i start the application, it closes: creating video dir, then it closes.
please help

not really a noobish question, as it does raise questions over how apps uninstall themselves.......

it probably removes the app but leaves the settings file? - might be worth emailing the author - or posting a bug report for mytube?

run mytube from the xterm
its a pain but its well worth it

update: i did apt purge but still no help

I think that the setting file is:
/home/user/.mytuberc

if you delete it probably the app will create a new one.
(in order to do that you'll have to use the terminal, if you've never done it or you don't have linux experience, better aid google for that).
