Dear Council,

Crash and Die sent me a private message saying that he deleted one of my posts because I suggested that a total newbie use Extras-devel. (I don't remember doing so.)

Since he deleted the post, I have no way of knowing whether Crash and Die was correct.

At a minimum, he should have furnished a copy of the message. I don't memorize my messages, believe it or not.

It is difficult to appeal a decision when the evidence for that decision has been destroyed.

I don't know whether you are the appropriate group to communicate with about this issue, or whether I should send a message to someone with real power, whoever that would be.

Generally it's a good idea to raise the issue with the person you're having a problem with before you escalate farther.

Thanks for the advice, but I did raise the issue with the moderator I'm having a problem with.

Before spreading lies and untruths, please check your inbox.

I provided you with a copy of the message I have deleted as soon as you requested it. I can't help you if you don't read messages in full and take action based on that.

Also, please stop maiming my nickname. I don't write gen e ven, so please don't write crash and die.

Thanks,

Sorry, CrashandDie, I thought I had seen your name otherwise elsewhere, my mistake.

Here is the first message I received from you, in its entirety: It doesn't say anything about your providing a copy of my message. Maybe I'm overlooking something.

I have not touched your other message that in the end helped with solving this user's problem.

Hope you can understand, and thanks for helping out.

Yes, you are overlooking something: Check your PM and hold it in private.

There's no need to pollute perfectly valid and sound threads with our stupidities.

Take it up with another moderator, in private, if you feel we can't reach a proper solution.

Edit: Also, the Council doesn't control the moderators.

Sorry -- so who does control the moderators? I'll stop polluting this thread, I promise.

A fair bit of irony here.

Is this an accurate and up-to-date list of moderators?
If not, where is it?
